Are you somebody who looks to the Bible as a source of guidance?

Like you might say that this is your worldview is grounded in biblical teaching?

For a lot of Christians, I think they would say that, even though they may not really open

the Bible to see what it teaches, aside from that, they would say that the Bible holds

a place of high regard.

But a lot of people would say, no, actually, it's entirely irrelevant to today.

Culture has changed, morals have changed, our social condition has changed, and people

who wrote it in Bible times, those writers are ancient herdsmen, primitives, ancients

that didn't know anything about psychology, didn't know anything about modern issues.

Therefore, nothing that really had to say is still relevant to us today.

I mean, a lot of these folks would argue that the hot topic issues that we find so important

in our culture today, a lot of times you would say, well, did Jesus really ever say anything about

that? Did anybody really talk, and if any writer on the Bible did say something about it,

it certainly seems like it's rooted in an ancient racist, sexist, homophobic period of time.

The Bible, they would say, is not relevant.
