Today we're speaking to independent researcher Dico Cordanian. He's shedding light on the recent

government raids on Orthodox priests in Armenia. They've been accused of plotting to violently

overthrow the government, allegedly holding weapons and ammunition to do so. This is obviously

very controversial and has sparked some protests in the country.

However, the priests involved have called for a military coup in the past.

So the government has basically raided the church claiming that they're planning to overthrow the government.

That's about as much as anyone really seems to know about it from this end.

Can you just kind of take us through it?

What has actually happened?

So I think it's very important to adjust this kind of like a timeline because I feel like

it'll be most easily understood through that.

In late May, not a lot of people know this, but in Switzerland,

in Bern specifically, the World Council of Churches with the support of the Protestant Church

of Switzerland, invited and had a conference about the preservation of the cultural history of

Arzach Armenians, Nagorno-Garapal Armenians. And the purpose of the cultural history of ATSakh Armenians, Nagorno-Garapal Armenians.

And the purpose of the conference was to discuss the ongoing issue of cultural destruction

in ATSAch following Azerbaijani occupation to discuss the right to return of displaced ATSChermenians
