He did have these three games yesterday in the NFL.

And a couple of things from each are kind of notable, I would say, is pretty much the way I would take it.

We'll start with the late game because I think relevant from the standpoint of what Denver is and what they're trying to do and also what Kansas City was and where they're going.

And so you had Denver looking to be the number one seat in the AFC, which is certainly

on the table.

They are now 13 and 3 through 16 games with one to go.

I don't think it was a great game for them last night, but they did what they do.

They won a close game.

Good for them.

The Kansas City storyline is interesting because you had, you know, Herb Street and Michaels last night discussing Kelsey's future. Yeah. And, you know, you're talking about how Al's in the know, and I'm with you. He talks to these teams every week. Michael's, not Duke. Al Michaels, yes, Al Michaels, of course. Al Dukes is not talking to anybody on the Chiefs or the Broncos. Not in the know when it comes to sports.

No, or who's on those teams.

But no, but all kidding aside, you know, he was trying to have the conversation with Herbstrit as if this is not the end for Kelsey, why go out this way? Mahomes will come back next year healthy and they'll try and do it again. but there was like a sad tinge to it.

Like it was the end of an error almost.

Yeah, I wonder if that was more just about the sadness of the way the season turned down. Maybe. And this is just, I have no, nothing to back this up. But my belief was he really thought they were going to win the Super Bowl last year. Obviously, they were there. And I think that had they won, that would have been the end.

And I think he figured, all right, well, I've got to come back now. And the way things have gone for Kansas City, he figured, well, at minimum, we'll be back in the AFC championship game, and I'll take my chances. And obviously, that didn't happen. So I just wonder if at this stage, you know, he had kind of mentally prepared himself for thinking this was going to be it and now the way things went.

I agree you don't want to go out that way.

Maybe it's just weighing

on him like man i really i got to recommit to this come back and do it especially with what he's

got going on off the field now the engagement the podcast everything it is a big commitment i mean

say what you want about the guy uh i know it rubs some people the wrong way. He doesn't have the, you know, the biggest fans of everyone out there. But it is still, it, we forget, it takes a lot to get yourself prepared, not just to play the season, but then to be as productive as he usually is. So I'd imagine that he's kind of going through it mentally right now, trying to figure out

what he's going to do. I'm not convinced that he's actually made up his mind just yet. Well, and I think your point is incredibly valid. I mean, Tom Brady was on that podcast with Shaq last week, and he was talking about, he was asked, you know, if he could still play at a high level, if he picked up a football, given what Philip Rivers has done.

He said, quote, I will pass.
