Plenty still going on in the NFL, even though we continue to reside in the dead spot between free agency and the draft.

The draft's only 17 days away.

Yeah, it's common.

One of the things that came up last week, we talked about this on Thursday, that curiously timed report from ESPN that I think had the Eagles fingerprints all over it, putting Jalen Hertz on notice that it's shape up or ship out time.

It's get with the program or the program is going to find a new quarterback message that was sent.

And what happened over the weekend, I noticed that Jeff McLean of the Philadelphia Inquirer,

he had both a column with some reporting in it, and he had a lengthy podcast uncovering the

birds with Marcus Hayes, who's a longtime columnist at The Inquirer as well.

And it's out there now. I mean, they're just talking about it openly. Like, he's on notice.

Yeah. This is his last year of guaranteed money. And they're using the media. This was the

comment that got my attention. McLean said the Eagles are using the media to get

through to Hertz. That's the only way that they believe you can get through to him. Yeah. Well, I think,

yes, they've exhausted words. I think we've all heard that through the last year, year and a half,

two years since you've been hearing me talk about this, right? I think these are all the little inklings you're hearing behind the scenes. Hey, we'd like to run the play this way. He runs it the way he wants to. Hey, we'd like to do these shifts in motions. Nah, I want nothing, right? We'd like to get underneath center. Nah, we're going to stay in the shotgun. it's obviously communication's been very hard and i think

that's where the team is pulling their hair out and that goes back to a j brown finally saying

something in front of the world where i think the whole locker room is kind of like who's going

to let the cat out of the bag and let everybody know the biggest problem with our team the

philadelphia e, is our quarterback.

And that's where we've gotten to.

So, yeah, they've taken this route.
