Is Ozempic Cheating? | The Emma Guns Show

πŸ“ Two months into this effort to lose body fat and gain lean muscle and progress is being made, but there have been some bumps along the way, including some accusations that I'm 'anti Ozempic' so let's discuss it.

πŸ“° Also in this episode, intermittent fasting and some great resources on how to find out more and how to make it work for you, being banjaxed by an injury and whether you ever really know if supplements are working...

πŸ‘— In this video I'm wearing:

Prince T-Shirt from Little Lies. Not available anymore but here are some other great band tees.

Hello, hi and welcome to another episode of the Emma Gunn Show and welcome to the

0:13.6

series that discusses weight loss unapologetically without any agenda other than, hey, are you a woman who is over 40 who

0:26.2

would like to shift some body fat and gain some lean muscle so that as the research suggests,

0:32.6

not suggest, proves, it may mitigate some of the associated symptoms that aren't that pleasant that go hand in hand

0:40.8

with things like perimenopause and menopause. Is that you? You're in the right place. That's exactly

0:45.7

what I'm trying to do. And we are at the 10 week mark now. It was the beginning of March and we're at the

0:50.6

beginning of May. And so in many ways you could say, yes, I have lost seven pounds,

0:55.4

but it has been slow. It has been slow. And there have been points at which I have wanted to

1:03.3

1:19.5

picture from week one next to my picture from that day. And to be honest, I haven't posted it every

1:25.9

single week because there hasn't been a huge difference.

1:28.9

But there was always a comment whenever you posted before and after, there will always be one or more comments saying, you look fine in both of them.

1:36.3

And I appreciate that's a lovely observation, but it's kind of not the point.

1:41.6

It's not saying I was unhappy where I was before. This wasn't about a

1:45.6

place I was in my mind or a sense of self that was, I don't feel good. It was a, I think I can feel

1:52.5

better. And it didn't come from a place of dissatisfaction or from feeling that I needed to conform

1:59.4

to some sort of beauty ideal or that I should make myself

2:03.7

smaller in order to fit into the world. It was nothing to do with that. It was actually,

2:08.4

I am already strength training, I'm already eating a high protein diet, but my BMI says that I'm

2:15.9

overweight. I know BMI is an imperfect metric, but that gave me something to work
