emails and asks about the ruling of nutmeg in Islam

because he says that he uses it regularly in his cuisine and spices

and yet he just heard a fatwa that says that it is halam.

Nutmeg is of course the name given to the seed of a particular plant.

Its biological name is,

which is mainly harvested in Indonesia.

Indonesia is the largest exporter of nutmeg,

so our brother Satak is emailing from Indonesia.

And of course it's also produced in India

to let us do different other places.

And it is used as a spice or a flavoring in many cultures,
