So should Christians watch the movie The Deliverance? Well, the answer is no because,

honey, if you watch the deliverance, you're going to be needing one.

Okay, I do say that kind of with Just because I'm not going to act like you're 100% guaranteed to come under demonic oppression if you watch this movie.

However, I will say that if there is at all a percentage, is it really worth watching?

And I think the answer is quite obvious. That is a no. And so, yeah, you know, regardless of whether or not you come under some form of demonic oppression, which again, I'm not going to say is guaranteed.

What is guaranteed is that you are opening a door by watching this.

And demons love an open door because that's their legal right to come on inside.

So I've been seeing a lot of back and forth about this movie in particular within the

Christian community of like why it's okay to watch it, why it's not okay to watch it. And some of you

were asking my opinion. And so I wanted to just kind of give my two cents, just be another voice

in the echo chamber of social media. But really what I hope to do is like everything else is glorify God and encourage you

to live for him and ultimately do things in such a way that glorifies him, right?

So let's just start by asking ourselves the question,

do we think this movie glorifies God?

Now, a lot of people would actually say yes,

because evidently, when all is said and done,

it ends basically the same way every other horror movie ever made

ends where, like, there's some sort of resolution.

And I guess the demon is cast out or whatever and it's like happily ever after.
