There is much in life that competes for our attention, but there is one who wants to be first before anything else,

shares how we can pursue God first and grow a deep satisfying relationship with him now here's

joyce with today's teaching when God first called me into ministry back in the 70s I had a full-time

job that took a lot of my time. I made good money.

I was an executive, and God began to deal with me a little bit of time

that he wanted me to lay that job down and just start preparing for ministry.

I didn't have the money to go to Bible College.

I couldn't go to Bible College.

I had three small children.

I couldn't afford to quit my job because if I quit my job, that meant that we were going to

have more bills than income. And you know how it is when God's dealing with it, you just

gradually over the days, you just feel it more and more. You know, when God's dealing with you,

it just don't go away, does it? It just kind of sits there.

And you can ignore it for a few days, but it always comes back.

That's one of the ways I can tell when God is speaking something to me

because it just stays.

It just stays.

Well, I was afraid to quit my job, so I quit that job and I went and got a part-time job.

Part-time obedience.
