I'm Pete, joined by Darius, no mic today. And yesterday we got word from Shams that Anthony Davis will be re-evaluated in four weeks after a midfoot injury. And I want to point out

that's different than being expected to return in four weeks. Four weeks from that announcement is

March 17th. The season ends on April 10th. And I would suspect that a return anytime too long

before like April 1st would be pretty unlikely. And so I suspect that a return anytime too long before, like, April 1st would be pretty unlikely.

And so I think that between the Lakers' record, position and standings, and then the health of both AD and LeBron puts the team and those players in an interesting position that I think it's necessary, D, to have a big picture conversation on how hard to put your foot down on the gas pedal between now and the end of the season with respect to the balance with their health.

This season's been compared a lot to the 2013 season.

And in some ways, that's true, right?

And that it hasn't been a good year.

But in other ways, I would argue that this

has been a much worse season than the 2013 season. The last 40 games of that year, the Lakers

were won 70% of their games. Kobe was unbelievable. And part of that, there was, I don't know,

a two-week stretch or so before he got injured and tore his Achilles
