Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. A lot to talk about today. Had some big developments in basketball, some positive, some negative. Had a really difficult loss on Wednesday night in baseball, but we're not going to sit here and talk a lot about that. We're going to preview the weekend against Georgia Southern.

And I'm going to try to look forward. It's difficult, though, to put these losses in the rearview mirror. After all, we've been through the last two years. I mean, I get it. Nobody feels

it more than we all do, right? It's a collective experience. We've got to figure it out. We do.

And so we're going to talk about this weekend series against

Georgia Southern we're going to look ahead to some basketball stuff excited about the men's

win on Wednesday where you're not I mean not just because of the fact that it's a rivalry game

it's a big win for state because yet state no miss kind of similarly situated and no miss

at times has played pretty well.

They've been a great road team.

But yeah, it's a good win.

Again, not just because of the rivalry,

but because of the fact that keeps the winning street going,

and that's a team that was kind of right there.

In many respects, in some conversations,

in the tournament bracket- type discussion with us, even

though we have been decidedly ahead in the net.

A lot of people felt like that that game against Mississippi State was a must win for

Ole Miss.

They had some very weak non-conference schedule, and the numbers support that.

Every metric supports that.

But with state's difficult, closing two weeks of this. conference scheduling and the numbers support that. Every metrics supports that. But, you know,

with states difficult closing two weeks of the season, we needed to get that one. We did get it.
