There's a massive weight we all feel because we can feel that our country is coming apart due to

cruelty and inhumanity and despair. And the despair, unfortunately, is going to be with us

until we can somehow restore most of the 40 million jobs that have been lost,

give people a sense of the future. I hope our podcast can do that. And so we had a tough decision

as to whether we were going to focus solely on George Floyd and Derek Chauvin and what happened

in Minneapolis and is now happening around the country or to talk about our vision for the future

that hopefully can help address some of these issues. We think that people come to us in part for

a sense of optimism and possibility and to get away a little bit from a depressing reality.

So we're going to talk about some of the things that hopefully we can make real

in the future that can help improve our lives and hopefully make us the kind of country that

is coming together instead of coming apart.

I will say just as an American as a person I'm heartbroken watching this and I was talking to our

buddy, Germaine Johnson, down South Carolina and he said he cried his eyes out all day yesterday,

which was Thursday, the 28th. And so this podcast is going to be hopefully uplifting and lighthearted.

And that's intentional in this very dark time. But I want you to know if you're an American,

you're hurting right now, we are too. And we feel you, we love you. And we're going to fight to fix this.
