So he gives me one step at a time, and he sticks with me, and he shows me the next step and the next step.

So stay close to him.

I promise you, when you get to know his voice, when you get to know his love, there is this safety that transcends controlling our futures.

Well, guys, today we are talking about hearing from God.

And for some of you, this might feel like a crazy controversial subject.

Because I know for me, I was taught, like, there is only one way that you hear from God and is the scriptures.

And let me say, as a foundation of what we're going to talk about today, that is absolutely true. You will never hear from God and it be in opposition to the scriptures. That is how

every cult in heresy has grown and formed in the world. So we are going to simply put for sure, everything

we're going to talk about today needs to be backed up with scripture. However, I remember once

I was filming a podcast with someone who I really respect and I believe God is using in a really powerful way.

But he talked about on the podcast that you can never hear from God outside of his word,

that that's the only way that he ever speaks. And I was deeply offended because God has

spoken to me in so many ways. He's spoken to me through other people.

He's spoken to me through dreams very few times. That's super rare. He has spoken to me just in

knowledge and just knowing what to do when I don't know what to do, but I sense he's leading me.

And I have experienced God speaking in a million different ways. I have experienced God just by

laying in the grass and looking at the clouds. I believe God speaks to us in so many ways.

But where we get in trouble is if we don't just begin,

bottom line, the normative way that you can hear from God day in, day out at any point

that you need wisdom is His word.
