And when one says, you know what, I'm just going to go away for the weekend.

When you're the one staying there with the kids, are you relieved by that?

Because you're like, oh, great.

Now there's no negotiation as far as parenting goes.

That is the question I am presenting today because I feel a certain way.

And I'm like, am I normal that when I parent on my own, it's easier?

Now, I'm going to preface this.

I do not want to be a single mom, all right?

Like, it is obviously way more beneficial to have a partner and to have somebody to help you out.

But there also is something to be said that when that partner is MIA for a day or two, it is so much easier to parent your kid.

So this past weekend, my husband crushed Mother's Day.

I had the entire day to myself to do whatever I wanted.

And to reciprocate the thanks, this has been planned for a while.
