Spencer Valeri to our podcast. We're going to be talking about several theological discussions

and how different Christians disagree on how to approach these conversations. Spencer is a

the theologian, pastor. He is the executive vice president here at the Daily Grace Company, and I am

perhaps most excited to call him a friend. He has encouraged me personally. He has contributed to

probably dozens of the products that are for sale on our website. He has contributed not only

as theological editor, but also as a general editor, and as well as the

sole author of at least two of our products, gospel-centered fatherhood and the Revelation Bible

to have maybe a little healthy debate with you. Hey, glad to be here. That'll be fun. And Spencer is very well versed in a lot of different theological conversations. And so our first topic that we want to kind of dive into that I want to get your opinion Spencer, is as we think through baptism and we think through what is baptism, why do different churches practice

baptism differently? Here's just one story as we segue into it. So myself, I was raised in a Roman

Catholic family, so I was baptized as an infant. Then when I was around nine years old, my parents converted to a

non-denominational church. And so basically that meant within the next year, I went to some

evangelistic thing and felt led to walk the aisle. And I may or may not have been manipulated by the pastor to pray

some prayer in the back closet. And I was rebaptized then at the age of nine. In the moment,
