Is VitaFiber really keto-friendly? In this podcast, were going to talk about IMO syrup. Is IMO syrup keto-friendly?
IMO syrup: Isomaltooligosaccharides (VitaFiber)
In past cooking videos, Karen and I made certain types of keto bombs or keto cookies using VitaFiber. I was operating off of some incomplete information, thinking that IMO syrup wouldn’t spike your blood sugars.
When you consume fiber, which is prebiotic, it bypasses the normal digestion in the small intestine, and it gets into the large intestine. In the large intestine, your microbes break it down and make beneficial compounds. In this way, fiber does not increase your blood sugars or insulin.
