I do not.

I ask only that we give each other the benefit of the doubt,

that we wrestle with ideas we reject, as well as those we think are right.

Let's escape the dogmas of conventional wisdom.

Let's have conversations that straddle the cultural divide

and make us all just a little uncomfortable.

Today on the show, a fascinating individual, she is a journalist, but really a publisher, but really a psychologist, but really a thinker.

Claire Lehman is the founder of the online magazine Quillette, which she founded five years ago

to push back against what she saw as a certain stuffiness and kind of rigidity of thought in a lot of mainstream

publications. That online publication has since become huge in certain circles in the United

States, probably bigger there than it is in her home country of Australia, especially amongst

a certain type of sort of Silicon Valley libertarian adjacent intellectual dark web type of

American tycoon who is somewhat fed up really with the stuffiness, dullness, predictability

of the mainstream media. Claire had written for publications like The Guardian,

Harvard's Kennedy School Review, Scientific American, ABC News,

and The City Morning Herald has called her one of their 10 Aussies who shook the world in tech and media.

But really what she's about is trying to find new ways to have conversations about the most important

things that confront us. Since that's what this show is about, I thought I would sit down

with Claire and talk about how we can have a conversation about having conversations. Ladies
