For that, let me take you to the European country with the highest nuclear share in the world,

Around 70% of its electricity is produced through nuclear power plants.

We are paving the way today for the nuclear renaissance of France.

But first, how does a nuclear reactor actually work?

Nuclear physicist Bernard Lepanch helped develop France's first nuclear reactors.

Since then, he became one of the country's most prominent opponents of nuclear energy.

In a coal power plant, you produce heat by burning coal.

In a nuclear reactor, what you call the nuclear vessel,

you produce heat by the fission of uranium, roughly.

And you heat water, which is circulating in the reactor.
