Kat Rosenfield, she's a freelance pop culture, writer, political writer, an author.

She's written in the books Amelia Ann is Dead and Gone and Inland.

The first of those books was nominated for an Edgar

Award. I don't know what an Edgar Award is. Do you know what an Edgar Award is? I would humbly

suggest that the board at the Edgers consider renaming the Edgar Award, because it's

probably quite prestigious. I mean, she wouldn't include it in her bio if it wasn't quite prestigious.

But when you say to someone, oh, I've been nominated for an Edgar, it just doesn't have the Gravitas or the ring that I think a prestigious award deserves.

Nonetheless, who am I to tell the board of the Edgers how they should run their own award ceremony? Cat is a delightful person to follow on Twitter, delightful person to read

in places like Tablet Magazine and Wired and Vulture Entertainment Weekly, Playboy. Not that I've

read her in Playboy. I haven't. Actually, I have read it because I only read it for the articles.

Boom Tish. She's been published in Us Weekly.

She basically, her remit has wandered from cultural criticism to what it means to be a woman in the 21st century to cancel culture and those sorts of things.
