So Cassie is wondering if she's doing harm to her kids because Cassie doesn't speak

American sometimes.

So I was born in Wales in the UK.

My whole family is British or spread out over the globe, but our origin is Britain and

really it's just my parents, myself, and my sister who live in the States were the only

ones.

And so there are a lot of words.

I grew up, I mean, I grew up in the US, but my parents have a heavy British accent.

Like literally every time we go out, they get asked where they're from.

But it doesn't matter if it's like a cashier Tuesday morning, a server at Ruby Tuesday,

anywhere we go every single time there's an interaction.

So that's what I grew up with.

British parents in a Louisiana household.

But there are a lot of words that I say differently.

Many I say the American way, but a lot of them I say the British way, like yogurt instead

of yogurt, tomato, squirrel, pitta, like instead of pitta bread, basil, or agano, like

ones like that.

So they're not that different.

Like you can figure it out as an adult.
