Today's 10-minute walk for me is happening a little bit later than usual, not late, but just a little bit later than usual.

I tend to wake up before sunrise and don't really spend a whole lot of time in the house before heading out to take this walk and record this podcast.

But I don't use an alarm.

And this morning, I actually slept a little bit longer than I usually do, which is a wonderful thing.

But I'm getting out a little bit later than usual.

So things look different.

Instead of early daylight, now I've got a sunrise and the temperature is normal for this time of year here.

My wife, Ava, works in a running store and she's been doing this now for, I guess, a handful of years.

And a running store essentially is a store that

sells shoes and clothing and other gear that helps runners. But not just runners. Also those

who walk. One of the things that I've talked about more than a few times is it's important

to have the right kind of shoes.

Having the wrong kind of shoes can actually be a problem.

They can be painful. I've had that where I've been wearing the wrong shoes and

after a week or two is like, why, why am I sore? Why do I hurt?

And it was because the shoes that I was wearing, they were actually the wrong kind of shoes for me.

I loved the way they looked.
