Hello and welcome back to Sociology 101.

Today we're going to play an interesting debate between, I guess, what you would call a high Calvinist and a lower form of Calvinism, moderate Calvinist, whatever you would like to classify

the different spectrum of Calvinists that are out there.

And what was interesting about this when I was listening to it on my walk was how much it really

revealed about the nature of theistic determinism.

Because quite frankly, even though the High Calvinist in this particular discussion

comes across as very unreasonable and very objectionable, as you can imagine, ultimately

making salvation about whether you adhere to right doctrine with regard to this doctrine

of predestination and theistic determinism, he sounds completely

unreasonable, but nevertheless, he's being consistent within the logic of his system.

If you adhere to theistic determinism, the position that he's arguing for in this discussion makes more sense.

Now, this is, the guy that hosts this, I believe his name's Tyler, it's called the Complete

Center's Guide podcast. Just recently, somebody sent a message to me about him wanting to

have me on the program, and I said, I'd be glad to have a discussion with him. He seems like a

reasonable fella, the moderate Calvinist guy that's hosting this. And he's having

a guest on who is a higher Calvinist, who believes you have to be a Calvinist ultimately. You can't

affirm any kind of doctrine of free will from the Armenian slash provisionist perspective in order

to be saved. You have to adopt their form of sociology in order to really be a Christian.

And Tyler does a pretty good job at picking apart.
