Hello and welcome to the Sharpening Report. I am your host, Josh Peck. Tonight we welcome back,

a friend of the show, Dr. Ken Johnson, to talk about a special project that we have just released

through Prophecy Watchers. Ken, how are you doing? Doing good. How are you? Doing fantastic.

So let's just jump right in. It's been a while since you've been on. And so for those who have been following us, for the past few years, we've been putting out a Dead Sea Scroll wall calendar every year around this time, but this year is pretty special. Not only is this the first time that we're offering this through Prophecy Watchers, that's Prophecy Watchers.com, but this calendar actually falls on the first year of the final Jubilee

of Our Age of Grace. And for those at home, if you don't know what those terms mean, don't

worry, we're going to break it all down. So to begin, Ken, can you give us a rundown of what the

Dead Sea Scroll calendar is and what makes it different from our Gregorian calendar?

Well, according to the Dead Sea Scrolls, it was the original calendar given by God,

and it starts at Creation, Creation Week, you know, where Adam was created, and goes forward to

through the millennial reign to the end of time. It's supposed to be a 7,000-year period. That's their

theology. I can't prove it or disprove it. But there's enough calendar fragments in the Dead Sea

Scrolls that let us recreate the calendar. And so we know exactly

when things would happen. For instance, they mentioned that the Messiah would come and die for

our sins and start the Age of Grace. And this event would happen. And they said one shmita after the

end of the ninth Jubilee of their honor. When you convert that to Gregorian,

that comes out to be 32 AD. So it's interesting that they're accurate with their dates and the

major events that they talk about. And they just talk about this calendar being the original calendar.

Our Gregorian was started in 46 BC by Julius Caesar. It's why it was called the Julian

calendar than Gregorian, because it was fixed a leap year calculations in the, I think,

600s or so by Pope Gregory. So anyway, it's just a different calendar system, but it's amazing

when you follow it and then you look at things in

scripture, you begin to see when things were, how close they are to a festival, how close
