With Tim O'Malley and Pete Sampson, I'm Tim Prester. It's a day after Notre Dame's early signing day.

21 players put their name on the dotted line. There's still a chance of a couple more,

perhaps as early as today with Asa Turner and Isaiah Foskey,

probably down the road.

But, guys, just segment one, and we do have questions.

We solicited questions about the recruiting class for segment two,

but just a couple of overall impressions.

I mean, I thought it was a good class, and I thought more significantly, it's healthy that

any sane person doesn't look at this class and be like, well, this is the guy that's going

to save Notre Dame football. Like, this is the real difference maker. Like, it's a good class

with some quality players, but Notre Dame has recruited well enough

for the last few years that I don't think there's anybody in this class similar to last year

in some ways where you look at and say, this is the guy Notre Dame needs to come in and play

right away. I know that everyone wants to write the freshman contributor story before the guys

show up, but Notre Dame doesn't really need a freshman contributor anymore, and that's a healthy

position to be in. Yeah, not the most important thing, but I'm trying to think of a

freshman contributor right away, and you know, I mean, I guess by position, the

defensive tackle would be somewhere where you can get some help next year.

Jacob, yeah, I think Jacob Lacey's in a position to be on the depth chart right away.
