Welcome back to another edition of Irish Illustrated Insider. I'm Tim O'Malley, joined today by

Tim Priest of Irish Illustrated and John Bryce of Football Scoop and Irish Illustrated. Not a lot of

football news over the weekend, guys, but there was a bit of a sad ending to Notre Dame's newest

sports dynasty. Penn State defeats Notre Dame in the men's lacrosse quarterfinals,

14 to 12. And it was a bit of an ignominious end for the Irish. But, Priestley, I want to go to you

because you had a point. There were two teams on that field yesterday. Well, there were. And in the first

half, Nordame was brilliant. I saw somebody say, Nordaigne on a clinic and they were. And then I thought

Penn State put on the clinic in the second half. And, you know, I guess I made the mistake of

saying that Penn State played brilliantly down the stretch. They did. I know that for a fact.

They were the second team on the field. But from a Nordame, from a Nordame, from a Norden.

It would be awkward if there was a third too.

I mean, from a Noradame perspective, I understand Nordame did not play well. And they, you know,

to some degree, they gifted that game to them. They were up 12 to 6 and then just, and then whether

you say they shut it down and play poorly or coach poorly or whatever. I thought Penn State.

I mean, Penn State was so motivated.

You know, when you're trying to defend yourself as a two-time national champ,

and the other side is, I mean, this is the moment they've been waiting for an opportunity

to beat Notre Dame.

I thought Penn State played great.

I get it that people think that Nor

Dame choked. I would hesitate to use the word choke because, you know, if they had lost last year

or the year before, that would have been a choke. This was not a national championship team.
