Anyway, I want to begin, Mr. Bryce, fresh off his trip to Honolulu and Mr. Honolay's old burial ground there looking for evil idols.

J.B., I want to get your quick thoughts on Notre Dame's imperfect,

but perhaps most important, very well-played defensive game in a 28-7 workman-like win.

Yeah, and it still was a working trip, I should point that out.

I did host overtime live on Saturday and also paid homage to the Irish by going to Luloo's

on Waikiki Beach, was owned by John Leahy, the son of title winning coach Frank Leahy.

So I did my due diligence.

I liked the victory from Notre Dame because I think it's a game that

we had to see from Notre Dame. We had to see a game where Notre Dame did not play well in

multiple phases, but particularly at offense, where it was disjointed in a number of things,

where uncharacteristic things happened to the Irish, such as a blocked PAT.

Like the one earlier this year was a fumbled snap that I still don't understand, but we don't

see a lot of PATs blocked for Notre Dame.

And so despite all of that, Notre Dame won the game comfortably.

I felt like when Notre Dame took the 14-7 lead, it was over.

Because Boise State had had every opportunity to have more than a 7-6 lead.

And Notre Dame had left so many points on the field. So that was much closer to a 44, 45-point

performance from the Irish. But it was a really convincing win and it was a controlling win.
