Samson. We were in Culver for Notre Dame's final practice of five in Culver before moving back to

Notre Dame. And it was enlightening. We had an opportunity to see the

quarterbacks throw the football much better than they had. These are some of the things that

we talked about in our incident analysis. The running backs were physical. Of course, everybody by now

knows the extent of Cole commits injury. It's a broken collarbone. And we'll also talk about

Julian O'Quara coming off the edge again and again and again.

And some positive news from the kicking game. But let's, well, you know what, let's start with the

injury. We suspected that it could be severe and it is. It's a broken collarbone for Cole Commet.

We've heard three to six weeks. I'm not going

to go by three to six weeks until I have some evidence that he is ahead of schedule. We're

looking at more like six to eight. We're going to play doctor here and look at six to eight weeks

until we hear otherwise. Your thoughts on Commet, and I'm the last guy to be a hot take guy when it comes to things like this, but a lot of people are upset with Alohi Gilman being too physical with Cole Commet. Your thoughts on that situation.

Well, we might have been the precursor to that because in the podcast we said Alohi Gilman is extremely physical, and I just assumed it was going to happen again like it did in the spring, where Commet's going to come down on him and twist his ankle or his ankle.

Eloy Gilman is a head smaller than Commet.

And he guards people like flypaper.

So when he's fighting Commet for a well-thrown ball that's high, you have to get into him to break up the

pass.

That's his job.

You have to do it.

There's no other way to break up a pass to Cole Commet if you're 5-11.

That's what he did, and he landed on him.
