It's Monday, January 27th, and we're going to talk Notre Dame football mainly.

But how does anybody start a sports story today without mentioning the hard-to-believe passing of Kobe Bryant?

Yeah, I found out in the parking lot driving my daughter to a basketball, which is a, you know,

when you found out the rest of the story, became much, much worse.

Of course, the story kept getting worse, culminating with nine dead.

Yeah, it's clearly one of the things that affects anyone that is a sports fan.

It was, people kind of like, the girls were, like, looking at us.

They're all nine years old.

Like, what's going on?

Why are you guys all huddled talking like that?

And that was just one of those.

I think you'll remember where you were for me for the rest of my life when I heard the bad news.

41 years old. I mean, you just don't expect it to happen. You don't expect to hear

famous people dying and plane crashes and helicopter crashes.

When there's three 13-year-old girls on board, it gets much worse. Yeah. Yeah.

You know, and the meme that we, I think we've all seen in recent weeks

with him and the daughter that, that perished with him, it's, you know, and it's amazing to hear

how many lives that he touched, you know, beyond the basketball court, which you're hearing

a lot of those stories coming out today.

I don't, I'm not going to say anything more because I can't add anything to it.
