Why don't we touch on that real briefly, guys?

Tim, I know you had a rooting interest for the 49ers,

and it sure looked good for you and

McGlinchie and Sheldon Day, but it all slipped away in the fourth quarter.

I'd rather discuss the Camping World Bowl, if you want to be honest with you.

But, you know, it didn't come down to, it shouldn't have come down to a misthrow,

but once he missed a deep bomb, Sanders, it was over.

You can't get those back. You can't get those back. No, can't get those back.

And the major concern I had was I thought it'd be a close game and I didn't want the 49ers to be on offense or defense against the Chiefs in a close game.

Because offensively, to drive down and win the game, you need Garoppolo to beat someone, and defensively you have to stop Patrick Mahomes.

So it was bad in both instances.

Not a good place to be.

No, but it was a great place to be when it was 20 to 10 with seven minutes left,

and if you pick up two first downs, then you don't have to be in a close game

because you can just leave the clock.

Mahomes is great in the fourth quarter as has been his habit in his first two years in the league.

And, I mean, ultimately, I guess you could say the better team won if you're going to

produce to that level in the fourth quarter and pretty much shut down the losing team.

Having the best player in the league is an advantage where the teams are otherwise close.
