Welcome back to another edition of Irish Illustrated Insider. I'm Tim O'Malley, joined today by Tim Priester of Irish

Illustrated and John Bryce of Football Scoop. And since we last met, Mike Martin was officially named,

not officially named, named by us as Notre Dame's new general manager to replace Chad Bowden.

And we were going to lead with that guys until about two minutes and 50 seconds left in Notre Dame's otherwise innocuous basketball loss to Louisville last night when head coach Michael Shrewsbury.

Not really even prompted about the crowd, but just asked by Blue and Gold's Jack Sobel.

Thankfully, he asked this question because otherwise that press conference would have ended about three minutes in with me asking about dribbling.

Jack Sobel simply asked, 10 and 10 at one point, it's been, you know, uneven and a little bit downhill since then, what's wrong?

In the final two minutes, if you haven't heard it yet, was Micah Shrewsbury, frustration and anger with the lack of fan support.

He said, put it on him, not the players.

And four rants, Tim Priester, you come up with in the last two years?

Maybe it's only three.

I thought it was four.

I thought it was two last year and that was the second one this year.

But I just don't know.

You know, like I don't understand the direction of it.

It's your players performing so poorly and essentially being coached so poorly to play that bad that, I mean, that's the cause of it.

That's why the fans don't show up.

And we've talked for years about

Nordane basketball fans, even when they're pretty good. They're not very good, the fans that

is. But when the product is as horrible as it was last night, once again, against a man,

I, at one point, I texted you, Tim, and it's like Louisville's like, that's Cirque de Soleil performing out there.

And I don't know what Notre Dame is, but these guys are acrobats playing above the rim.
