Northames 23 to 10 victory over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl advances the fighting Irish to the

Orange Bowl. How weird is that? Dornames playing a Sugar Bowl and an Orange Bowl within a

Illustrated Insider, January 5th. We are four days removed from Notre Dame

taking on Penn State. Let's talk about Nordame, Georgia first, and we'll jump into the Nittany

Alliance, but Nordame wins 23 to 10. They, you know, I've said this multiple times now, led by

double digits throughout the entire second half.

It didn't always feel like it because you did not want to get to that point where Georgia was within one score,

but Notre Dame held them off.

And now it's on to Penn State.

But guys, let's put a wrap on Nordame over Georgia, which is a, in the grand scheme of things,

a pretty monstrous win for the University of Notre Dame, considering it had been

31 years since they had won a major bowl.

It was huge.

It was a season, it was kind of a microcosm of the season.

Notre Dame played a great defense and a quality offense and scratched and clawed for everything they could get.

I think I heard Sean McDonough say 246 yards is the lowest yardage total to ever win a playoff game.

That makes sense.

It's different, though, and Georgia only had 296 as well.

Turnovers in special teams. It's like Lou Holtz was out there, other than not enough

offense. It's like Lou Holtz had his imprint on that football game. That was fantastic

to see. Jaden Harrison's delayed gratification was 100% worth it. RJ Oban's one shining moment.
