Malcolm Honeline, conference of President Major American Jewish organizations.

We begin in Israel with the contra-temp these last weeks called Judicial Reform.

The Prime Minister announced some days past that the Kineset would take this matter up

again in future assemblies, probably in the summertime.

But Malcolm is here to help us understand where the process is right now and where the

negotiations are in future.

It's a very important issue because it's gotten so much coverage.

In fact, the Prime Minister did pull back the legislative initiative.

He didn't remove it.

He just put it in a bayon until the Kineset reconvenes for its summer session, which will

be two months hence.

There's a recess because of Passover, Israel, Independence Day, other periods of this

generally spring recess.

In the meantime, negotiations, though, are expected to begin between the government,

coalition and the opposition to try and work out the details of a legislative initiative
