Defense of Democracies, Ben-A-Men Taliblo, speaking of the allegations or the remarks

of the reports that Iran and Hisbalah were funding, training, guiding, in some way assisting

the Hamas attack on Israel in these last days.

We turned out to the sanctions regime on Iran, the important one that I've been informed

by, better than by some time, is the UN sanctions on arms, on exporting and importing arms

is about to lift.

There are other sanctions.

There's also the matter of the $6 billion, much in the news, that was said to be in exchange

for or on the road for normalizing or in some way reawakening the JCPOA.

To your knowledge, Ben-A-Men, is that still in train, that $6 billion, and is there reason

to believe that the Biden administration will be reconsidering as they wait for confirmed

intelligence that Iran was involved in the attack?

Well, unfortunately, the time is, as you know, quite limited on the political calendar

before we reach something called Transition Day, Transition Days, October 18th.

It's a pre-built in-day into the JCPOA, that's the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, the political

calendar of the JCPOA, and it is the time by when Iranian missile activities to include

tests as well as transfers will be rendered legal or therefore not punishable or not

prohibitable by this older UN statute, which had modified even older UN statutes that

were actually time, not time limited, and had permanent prohibitions calling for an injunction

against, you know, missile testing and transfers by Tehran.

So it seems to be that there is no motion by Washington to try to kick that cam down the
