We start in Iran where more than 500 people have died during demonstrations as nationwide anti-government protests enter a third week.

That's according to a US-based rights group, and it comes as a communications blackout

imposed by authorities has now lasted more than three days.

The protests are being fueled by spiraling anger over the economy, the government's authoritarian

rule and a deadly crackdown on demonstrators. President Donald Trump says his administration is weighing potential military options to step in.

And here's some of the comments Trump made to reporters on Air Force One yesterday.

We're looking at it very seriously. The military is looking at it.

And we're looking at some very strong options.

The leaders of Iran call they want to negotiate.

I think they're tired of being beat up by the United States.

But Iran's parliamentary speaker warns that if the U.S. intervenes,

American military and commercial bases will be treated as targets for retaliation.

Meanwhile, Iranian state agencies had called for nationwide marches today in support of the regime.

State media is showing video of large crowds gathering in different Iranian cities.
