I welcome Malcolm Holnheim, a colleague and co-host and friend,

conference of president's major American Jewish organizations.

We turn immediately to the suspect nuclear weapons program,

the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Out of Germany, this headline in English,

Iran-U.S. nuclear talks is a new deal imminent subhead,

an interim agreement on Iran's controversial nuclear program is being negotiated.

This is 48 hours out of date, so I need to go to someone who's really up to date.

Welcome, Jason Brodsky,

the policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran. Jason, a very good day to you. Where are we now

in these very non-transparent conversations between the U.S. and Iran? Good evening.

It's great to be with you. I would say that the president, Trump, has stated that he expects

there to be progress potentially in nuclear negotiations with Iran imminently.

But the Iranians publicly are not in the same place as the president, and I think that that's

what's important. The foreign minister was tweeting today that he's not so sure if they're close,

and so I think that that shows the Iranians are stalling as they normally do during this

negotiations process with respect to talks with the United States.

And, you know, I think that both sides are narrowing in on a potential framework agreement

that would outline a statement of a principles to guide future negotiations towards a final deal.

So that's where we are right now.
