There's been a flurry of activity in the Middle East today.

According to two Israeli sources, Israel will halt fresh strikes on Iran following a request from the Trump administration,

but it said it will continue to attack southern Lebanon in its fight against Hezbollah.

That news came not long after Iran announced it would suspend its further strikes against Israel,

but it's threatened to resume them if Israel continues to strike Lebanon.

CNN's Jeremy Diamond is in Tel Aviv for us, so Jeremy, where do things stand right now?

Well, David, the back and forth between Israel and Iran has stopped for now, but

it seems like it could resume just as quickly as this latest round ended.

And that's because while both Iran and Israel are vowing that they're going to stop attacks

on one another, Iran has put one key red line down, and that is that they're saying that

if Israel continues to carry out attacks in southern Lebanon,

then Iran is going to strike back at Israel once again and do so more ferociously than before.

Israel, meanwhile, via sources, is telling us that it's going to continue those attacks in southern Lebanon.

Search continues for whoever shot and injured a dozen people near a festival in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday.

Police say it appears there were two people who were shooting at each other.
