We just all know executions. I hope that's true. That's a big thing.

President Donald Trump says Iran has called off scheduled executions of detained prisoners

in the country, telling reporters in the Oval Office, quote, the killing has stopped.

But he also says he's still weighing military action, and that his administration would

continue to monitor the crackdown.

One of the widely reported executions set to take place was of detained protester

Erf and Soltani.

Iran's state media is now saying the 26-year-old is alive and was never due to be executed.

And after Iran closed its airspace for around five hours last night to all flights

except international civil arrivals and departures, some domestic flights appeared to be resuming as

normal. Meanwhile, Trump has spoken about whether Iran's main opposition figure, Reza Pahlavi,

would have the support needed to take power, should Iran's government fall.

Speaking about Pallavi, the exiled son of the last Shah of Iran, Trump said he, quote,

seems very nice, but questioned whether the country would accept his leadership.

A US-based rights group says at least 2,400 demonstrators have been killed

since the start of Iran's crackdown on dissent, and an internet blackout is entering its
