Amen. Let's read it first. First Corinthians one through three, Paul called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus and our brother, Sostthens, to the church of God that is in Corinth, and to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call on the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours.

Grace to you and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I want to talk to you about being invited, being invited by God for God.

So when I was in college, I got saved my freshman year of college

and I joined this ministry. There's a parish church ministry called Young Life and we're serving

in high schools like teaching the Bible to high school kids. And I was also leading a Bible study

at my college. I went to a Christian college. And basically, long story short, I got up invited to be a part of this, this ministry. And as I'm serving in this ministry, I'm serving and a group of people, a group of the other leaders one night, they wouldn't answer their phone. And I'm like trying to get in

contact with them, trying to figure out what's going on. And, uh, they wouldn't answer. So the next day,

we're all serving in this ministry. And then afterwards, after the ministry was done, we're hanging

out at one of the guy's house. And they're all acting weird. I'm like, what's going. Now you guys are all acting weird. What's going on? And they go,

Alex, we have to tell you something. I'm like, what? And they go, we had a party last night and we're all

drinking and, you know, we shouldn't have done it, but we did it. And you weren't invited because we

didn't want you to like judge us or criticize us or whatever. And that was a bad feeling for a lot of different reasons. One,

I came from the world. I have a past. So it's like, dude, don't you know who I am? I'm just as

bad as you. I'm just as hypocritical as you at this point, 19 years old. But also, it's kind of like

hurt not to be invited. These are my new friends and I wasn't invited. I wasn't invited

by them because they knew I was invited by somebody else. Stick with me here. The world is not

going to invite you to stuff because you've already been invited by heaven. So you're going to be

left out in a lot of stuff. you're not going to get a lot of

invites from the world. And that's because you have this blaring, spiritual red sign on your

chest that says, I've been invited by heaven to the party of the universe. So that's what we're

going to talk about today. It wasn't mean to be invited by God.
