But we begin with a story from Unfictional regular contributor Carlos Kotkin.

Over the years we've heard stories about his prom dates and embarrassing personal habits.

He's known heartbreak and venereal disease scares until he finally found love, marriage, and family.

And that was all on this show.

He's also a highly decorated veteran of the moth storytelling competitions.

On this episode he's going to share an experience from a couple of years ago

when he and his wife had been trying but failing to make a baby.

So they needed to reach out for some outside assistance,

a fertility specialist.
