Hello and welcome to all of you old friends as well as all of you new ones. My name is

Jared Halverson and this is Unshaken. A podcast where we study scripture

hopefully in ways that you never have before. Now for you returning listeners, you long-time listeners, and by that I do mean

long time. We've been at this for almost four years now and with 646 hours of content behind us. I hope that you're ready for some changes.

First of all, you may notice that I'm not in my typical white shirt. I'm opting for blue this time around.

And we may see some other wardrobe changes, as well as... opting for

because we're going to be shifting our scenery.

For the last few years I've been borrowing my wife's little home office

and my wife and children have been

tiptoeing outside the door on silent on the set and yet as I mentioned in a recent

update episode this year we are beginning a beautiful partnership with the Faith Matters Foundation and they're going to be providing some production help as well as a recording studio.

And so prepare yourself for some changes moving forward.

The biggest one of which will probably be the length of these episodes.

Those who have grown accustomed to three, four, five, even seven and a half hour episodes,

that was our record. From now on we're aiming for around an hour,

hoping that it can be more digestible on the run for those that have less time on their hands.

Those of you who are hoping for more there is so much incredible

content out there and so now you may have time to to hear from some of my

colleagues as well now for you new listeners, new friends, I'm sure we will get

to know each other as time goes on but by way of brief introduction I grew up in

Texas and Southern California away from from the Mormon corridor, as it's often been called,
