Okay, so we'll go ahead and get started.

And tonight, at least a big chunk, and who knows with me how long I'll ramble on about it,

but at least a major portion of tonight we're going to be doing introduction.

So I'm going to kind of combine some introductions,

rather than doing an introductory section.

We're going to do an introduction to three epistles tonight.

As I mentioned, this is going to be the first time in going through the whole Bible.

I've gone out of order.

But for reasons that we're going to talk about tonight, we're going to be doing an introduction to 1st Peter and 2nd Peter and Jude, even though Jude comes after for 2nd, 3rd John.

And we're also going to be doing that introduction in the order 1st Peter, Jude, 2nd, Peter,

for reasons that will become a literal clearer, at least, as we go on as to why we're doing this.

So back when I did my general introduction to the general epistles and sort of a general inception of generality or something, we mentioned that the general epistles, unlike St. Paul's epistles, the general epistles are more diverse, right? Because this is sort of the other epistles we have.

And so we have these three, which we've received as 1st Peter, 2nd Peter, and Jude.

All three of these, for different reasons, most scholars you'll ask, even like conservative

Protestant scholars, the majority of scholars think that neither first nor second peter were written by st peter

nor was st jude's epistle written by st jude these are for different reasons and so

part of this introduction is going to be looking at each of them and assessing those reasons and

whether they're valid or not mostly Mostly, we're going to see not.

Not 100% not, but mostly not. So we'll sort of start with First Peter. And First Peter is is in terms of order remember we talk about how the general

epistles are just sort of ordered by length right so and they put first and second
