profession at a time. He talks with people who genuinely love what they do, and I think

Dan himself may have the best job in the world, because he's gotten to talk to everyone, from

a homicide detective to a cattle rancher, a long-haul trucker, a divorce lawyer, a professional

Santa Claus, and so many other people. Dan is a great interviewer, so this show feels more

like eavesdropping on a really engaging conversation than it does, say, hearing someone read

their job description. Have you ever wondered what it's like for a funeral

director to do the hair and makeup for a dead person? I, in fact, have. Or if a secret service

agent is supposed to pretend like they're not there when they're around the president, yet again,

I have. I have wondered this. Well, Dan gets to the bottom of it. And one of the questions Dan

asks near the end of every episode is what phrase or sentence strikes fear in the heart of someone in your profession.
