Hello, it is me, Annie McManus.

You will find me on a podcast called Changes and we are between series at the moment.

The last series of changes ended earlier this year and since then I've been busy preparing

to release my first book, Mother Mother.

It's out now and it's a story about a woman in her mid-30s in Belfast who just walks

out of life as she knows it, she just disappears.

There's no warning, there's no plan, there's no strategy in her disappearance.

She just moves and can't stop moving and kind of leaves her house one night and leaves

her son who's 18 years old behind.

We follow her on her journey and we follow him on his journey to find her and the themes

of the book are loss, love, addiction, violence, growing up, family.

I've been chipping away at this book for a long time.

Living with it, dreaming about it, becoming obsessed with it and now I have some hindsight

on it.

The whole ordeal of creating it has been one of the biggest changes in my life and I

wanted to mark that in some way by talking to some other people who've written books

and to hear some of their advice and some of the lessons they learned along the way.

So it gives me great pleasure to tell you that I'm bringing out a Changes mini series.
