So, how does one go about starting a podcast about books?

Well, you do it with your own enthusiasm. Your love for books and Kate's love for books will naturally inspire your podcast listeners.

I can't believe we got to talk to Oprah, who I think is maybe the most famous reader on earth.

But while she may be the most famous, Kate, you're my favorite person to share a good book with.

And like so many others, that's how we stayed connected during the pandemic.

It surely was. And before I forget, we should probably tell people who we are. I am Kate Gibson,

and I hope I don't regret starting a weekly podcast with my father, Charlie Gibson.

we will have conversations with our favorite new and established writers, as well as book lovers

and booksellers, and we get to ask them whatever we want. People often ask that question,

and it seems to us the most natural thing of the world. That's a great question. I have to sort of separate the me who is the writer

from the me who is the main character.
