insolent musical peasant as one of our listener categories. So let us know which one you identify as, okay? But that's

not why I'm here today. I'm here today to tell you all about a podcast called No Such Thing.

No Such Thing is a show where three best friends and journalists settle their dumb arguments and yours by actually doing the

research. I don't know about you, but I hear journalists and the same kind of key that I hear

librarian. My brain immediately goes, protect at all costs, you know. No such thing is hosted

by Manny Fidel, Devin Joseph, and Noah Friedman, and each episode begins

with a simple yet often heated debate, and everyone knows I like my debates like I like

my rivalries. Heated! Some examples of episodes might be, are dentists scamming us, or

are indoor cats happier than outdoor cats, or kids can't read anymore. Does that matter?

I don't know about you, but I already have very strong opinions about two of those topics.

Okay, so first the hosts discuss the topic amongst themselves about what they know, their gut

feelings, their personal opinions and experiences, and then they go on out into the world. They investigate. They talk

to experts. They conduct experiments. And then they reconvene with what they found out to see if they

can move past their own personal emotional truths or enlighten each other or even change some

minds. So what we have here today for you is a little preview, and in this preview, the No Such Thing team

dies into dentistry, and the possibility that dentists might be scamming us, which I really hope

they're not, because if they are, then I have spent an unholy amount of time in my life,

flossing and waterpicking and tongue scraping, and that is time that I cannot get back.
