0:36.6	And now she's yawning. Today we are bringing you
0:39.3	the case of Carl Landers. And Carl Landers would go missing on Mount Shasta in 1999 and his
0:48.5	disappearance has mystified experienced Mountaineers for more than 20 years. Mount Shasta stands at 14,179 feet and is the second
1:02.1	highest peak in the Cascades and it gets about 59 inches of snow every year. This is also in California, by the way.
1:12.8	So for comparison, here in Washington, we have Mount Rainier, which is about 14,411 feet.
1:22.7	So almost exactly the same height.
1:25.3	But Mount Rainier gets about 670 inches of snow per year.
1:29.7	And that's just an average. That number has actually been double at least once for snowfall.
1:36.9	So California Mountain, less snow, but one of the bigger, more dangerous mountains for California.
1:48.5	Shasta is the fifth highest in California, and it's located in the Shasta Trinity National Forest.
1:55.6	It is a very popular destination for hiking, camping, and basically all recreational activities.
2:01.6	It is also referred to as White Mountain.
2:05.6	It is a potentially active volcano and is on the southern end of the Cascade Range in
2:14.2	Susqueau County, California.
2:17.7	Now when I say potentially active, it has erupted once every 800 years for the last 10,000
