by the writer and director for the film American fiction, Core Jefferson here. Now, you may be wondering, Corr Jefferson, where have I heard that name?

Well, let me tell you.

Succession. Watchman.

Oh, yeah, he won an Emmy for Watchman.

Master of None.

This guy has had his hands all over some of your favorite television shows.

Station 11, I forgot about that one.

But now with American Fiction, he's made his feature directorial debut, and it is making the

festival rounds, winning audience prizes, gaining critical acclaim. Cord, you're the man of the

hour right now, man. How are you doing? I feel great. I mean, to be honest, I feel a little

emotionally overwhelmed. This was not the response that I was preparing myself for when I released the film.

But, you know, that being said, it's been a tremendous ride so far.

It feels surreal.

I'm just, I'm really honored.

I think we're all pretty much very happy for you overall.

I mean, I met you a couple of days ago in New York.

It was such a pleasure just chatting with you.

We didn't talk about the film, but we just seemed like a really genuine good guy.

And I'm just very happy for all the success that you've achieved so far on what is to come.
