Summary

Writer and actor Eric Bogosian (Talk Radio, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Succession) has been in the business for a while. Long enough, that he tells Recode’s Peter Kafka, he’s learned to let other people worry about the business stuff. AMC’s hoping he’s good business for them; the network is hoping its new Interview with a Vampire can help fill the zombie-shaped genre hole left by the ending of The Walking Dead. Bogosian talks about the modern-day relevance of Talk Radio, paying for his kids’ college with a steady Law & Order paycheck, and why he decided not to monetize his online project 100 (monologues). Featuring: Eric Bogosian (@ericbogosian), Actor and Writer Host: Peter Kafka (@pkafka), Senior Editor at Recode More to explore: Subscribe for free to Recode Media, Peter Kafka, one of the media industry's most acclaimed reporters, talks to business titans, journalists, comedians, and more to get their take on today's media landscape. Welcome to Recode Media with Peter Kafka. That is me. Eric Bogosian is an iconic actor of playwright. He broke through back in the 1980s with riveting theater performances,

and since then he's done a ton of movies and TV shows. He's been a Stephen Segal bad guy

and a police captain on Law and Order. He's been on a very big role recently. He's been in

It's a very big budget TV swing. Welcome, Eric Pogosian. Thank you, Peter. Like I said, you've got a really impressive resume. I see you a lot on screen in the last few years. I get a charge when I see you. You are usually have a smaller role whenever I'm watching, but here you are literally the first thing I see when I turn on AMC's new interview with The Vampire Show. This is their attempt to sort of create a new Walking Dead

I immediately quit the acting profession.

2:07.2

It just seemed too competitive.
