We've talked a lot on the show about academic freedom and freedom of speech on university

campuses.

We've talked about people who have been fired because they expressed views different

from the consensus on universities.

Today we have a great guest.

We have a guy who has not been fired.

He's still teaching at the University of Vermont, but he has gotten a letter from the

administration.

A letter sent to everybody in the entire community saying that his values are different

from those of the university and the university divides the world into racist and anti-racist

people implying that he doesn't fit into the category of anti-racist.

We'll hear about the situation he faces.

We'll hear about how he's responding to that when we interview Professor Aaron Kinsflotter.

And today we have an extraordinary guest, a man who is at the center of a battle at the

University of Vermont, which is a public university subject to the first amendment.

This is Professor Kinsflotter, a father of children in German, as he told me and explained

to me.

And he is the father of children in the sense that he's a professor who's training younger

people to go into the world.

But he's made some controversial statements about race and discrimination, and he has come

under criticism with petitions.
