Hello and welcome to the price of football, the show that looks at the money behind the

beautiful game with me Kevin Day and Liverpool University's Kirin McGuire. It's one of our

extra pods today Kirin but before we get into that, a big thank you to everyone who took

in our end of season quiz on Wednesday night it was it was jolly good fun I don't normally use the

word jolly Kirin but that was jolly good fun wasn't it? It was an absolute blast everybody seemed

to enjoy themselves the questions were were a mix of the financial and the non-financial and I

didn't manage to libel anybody because you kept me on the straight and narrow. Well after it was

it was a it was a struggle Kirin. I mean to point out that the laws of libel and slander do apply

also on end of season football finance pods but yeah I think that's what you have to be an expert

to put a two and two together with some of the things you said about some of the club owners

we were talking about. But it's very good I have to say the knowledge that some of our listeners

clearly have about football finance Kirin indicates I have that we've you've done a very good job or

they need to get out more basically. As I say it's one of our extra pods it's an interview and it's

an interview with a very interesting man Jose Antonio Cachaza who is the managing director of La Liga

in India and intriguing job and intriguing manager there's a say so this is what he had to say about

his life marketing Spanish football in India.

Jose thank you so much for joining us today before we talk about your role representing La Liga in

India could you just tell us a little bit about yourself and your background in football. Well

I mean I think one I am one of I am above everything else a football fan no I mean I grow up

in a small town in in Galifia no in northwest of Sania La Coruña and basically I grew up 200

meters from our local stadium no so my my Sundays when I was a little boy was going every other

weekend was going to see my local team no that it's called Rath in the Ferral and I had proud to say
