| 0:10.0 | Today's going to be a great interview. I have the author of the performance paradox turning |
| 0:16.2 | the power of mindset into action. I have Eduardo Brasena with me here today. Eduardo, it's |
| 0:21.4 | great to have you on the podcast. Great to be here, Sean. Thanks for having me. |
| 0:25.0 | Okay, so obviously you're fascinated by the entire subject matter of mindset and performance |
| 0:30.8 | in this. Tell me what it is in your book that you talk about that's different than what |
| 0:36.2 | we commonly, you know, that we commonly think. I know that there's a learning aspect |
| 0:40.8 | there that you're pretty fond of. And so take me through the book and how it can help |

| 1:25.6 | to put your best foot forward. So if you're having trouble, say with your topspin |
| 1:29.8 | serve, you're going to avoid the topspin serve during that match because you're just trying |
| 1:33.8 | to win. But then after the match, you're going to go to your coach and say coach, I'm having |
| 1:38.1 | trouble with my topspin serve. Let's work on that, right? And so that's a very different |
| 1:42.4 | activity, a different area of focus than what we do during the match. So the match is |
| 1:48.0 | what we call the performance zone. We're trying to perform, we're trying to win, we're |
| 1:51.3 | trying to minimize mistakes. And working with a coach is what we call the learning zone |
